The only thing wrong with being a Virtual Assistant is the virtual aspect. Don't get me wrong, I love working at home in my own office, however, I do miss not being able to have a coffee with some of my colleagues, and because they are all over the country it's not always easy to arrange.
However, we have a solution!
The intelligentVA Twitter Meet Up! (#iVAmeet)
The next one will take place at
8.00pm UK on Monday 15th October, 2012 on Twitter.
One way to follow the chat is with a nifty little tool called
TweetChat. It shows you the whole conversation and automatically adds the #iVAmeet tag to your posts for you. Huge thanks to Lucy Brazier of Executive Secretary magazine who introduced me to TweetChat. Lucy hold a regular #adminchat every Thursday at 6pm for PAs and EAs on a variety of topics. (I'll be the host on the 13th March discussing the common mistakes that start up VAs make.
Another good way of following the events is via http://twebevent.com/iVAmeet again, any posts you make in here will automatically include the #iVAmeet hash tag and you can see the whole conversation.
The topic for next #iVAmeet will be How to Write Better for Virtual Assistants with our special guest Suzan St Maur of
http://HowToWriteBetter.net. I am hoping that we get a variety of attendees on this chat, and that the more experienced VAs amongst you will join in and share your knowledge as well.
This is a great way of meeting other VAs, helping build your support network, and of course, learning new tips and tricks to help your business grow.
I look forward to seeing you there!
Don't forget that whilst #iVAmeet is aimed at Virtual Assistants there is always lots of useful information in our chats that applies to many small business owners so if you're enjoying the conversation do drop in and say hello and join in.
