We are running weekly Twitter chats using the hashtag #HealthyChat to help people with their health goals.
Everyone is welcome.
Eating for a Healthy Heart
It was Heart Week in Australia last week, so we thought we'd ask Bupa dietitian Gemma Cosgriff to chat with us about eating for a healthy heart and arteries.
Join us Tuesday 15 May at 8pm AEST (VIC & NSW time) to talk about which foods you should and shouldn't be eating for a healthy heart.
Q1. Do you know what effects food can have on the heart?
Q2. Which fats do you try to cut down on? And how?
Q3. Are there any fats that you include in your diet to protect against heart disease?
Q4. Do you think that alcohol can be good for your heart?
Q5. Do you consciously eat foods that are said to be good for your heart? If so, which foods?
What is #HealthyChat?
#HealthyChat is a discussion which takes place on Twitter and is a space where you can come to talk to our health experts and other participants about a health topic.
Each week, we will be talking around a different topic, which will be decided before the chat starts.
Twitter chats are a great way for specialists to share their knowledge on a topic and an opportunity for you to ask any questions you have or even share your own knowledge with others on that topic.
How does it work?
A member of the social media team at Bupa will host and monitor the chat and a health expert will lead it.
We will set pre-determined questions in the week before the event so that you can see what is being discussed and think of any questions you may have for our experts.
The host, @BupaAustralia will ask the questions, which the health expert and other participants can answer.
The participants will ask their own questions on the topic, which the health experts and others in the chat can then answer.
A few guidelines
- Start your tweet with the question number (e.g. Q1) so we know which question you're answering.
- Remember to include the chat hash tag #HealthyChat so that we know you are participating in the chat.
- Keep tweets short so that they get re-tweeted!
- Follow the chat in Twebevent. Why? It only shows the #HealthyChat tweets and makes the chat easier to follow.
- We may re-tweet tweets. By re-tweeting, it does not imply endorsement of any kind.
- Being followed by us does not imply endorsement of any kind
- Never tweet your personal details including your telephone number, address and membership number.
